Getting your equipment ready

This is a quick tutorial for installing the usefull things that you need for your daily work.

1. Xcode

You need to install Xcode from the applications DVD of your mac.

2. Install homebrew

To install homebrew you need to go https://github.com/mxcl/homebrew/wiki/installation and follow the steps

3. Tools installation

Once you have installed homebrew, you need to reach the terminal from your computer and type these commands to install Git, MySql and postgreSql

brew install git
brew install mysql
bre install postgresql

4. Install rvm

To install rvm you need to go to http://beginrescueend.com an copy this code for the short installation:

    bash < <(curl -s https://rvm.beginrescueend.com/install/rvm)

Then put this code at the end of the "~/.bash_profile" file :
[[ -s "/Users/(username)/.rvm/scripts/rvm" ]] && source "/Users/(username)/.rvm/scripts/rvm"  # This loads RVM into a shell session.

Once you have this ready go to the terminal and type these commands
source ~/.bash_profile
rvm install 1.9.2
rvm install 1.8.7
gem install bundler
bundle install

And that's all you need to know for now.
